Job Posting – Mandarin-Speaking Food Safety Liaison (Ontario)
One of our industry partners, a federal facility, is looking for a candidate to fill their open position of Primary Food Safety Liaison.

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct pre-operational & operational inspections
- Complete CCPs (onsite inspection and record-keeping)
- Work closely with inspector, Food Safety consultant and/or GFSI Auditor to close Verification Reports, Corrective Action Reports & Audit reports
- Conduct facility tours daily, minimum once hourly to ensure all employees are adhering to GMPs and other food safety-related documentation/tasks.
- Ensure traceability system is working accordingly, specifically ensuring all incoming and outgoing orders are lot coded
- Conduct weekly and monthly food safety/maintenance/calibration inspections of two facilities (within walking distance of one another)
- Conduct microbiological swabs and water tests and deliver these to the laboratory (located approx. 5 minutes from the facility)
- Execute annual re-training of employees for both facilities
- Complete and maintain SQF records as per SQF requirements
- Execute mock recalls twice annually, both facilities
- Verify all records completed by other employees (onsite inspection and record-keeping)
- Conduct light inspection at both facilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluent in English & Mandarin
- At least 2 years of experience in a food safety/ quality assurance position
- Must be comfortable speaking to Federal inspectors and auditors as well as GFSI Auditors
- Must have knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CFIA SFCR regulations
- Knowledge of SQF or other GFSI scheme(s) an asset but not mandatory
- Basic to intermediate computer skills are a must
