- Oversee quality and food safety incidents, consumer/customer complaints to determine root cause, develop and implement corrective action to prevent re-occurrence;
- Management of document control system;
- Manage customer requests ensuring information and documentation is current and up to date;
- Lead 2nd and 3rd party audits (i.e.: CFIA, GFSI-SQF, Halal certification, customer);
- Review food safety records to ensure compliance to all program requirements;
- Coordinate microbiological and chemical testing with 3rd party accredited laboratories and interpret results and act accordingly;
- Develop training materials, and provide training of plant employees and cross-functional teams on food safety and quality principles (for new employees, annually, or whenever there are changes to the programs);
- Manage new product development process (regulatory requirements, specifications, labelling, etc.);
- Leading the Quality Assurance/Control team, including those at the supervisory and hourly levels, providing direct leadership, training, delegating tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
