Job Duties:

  • Lead 2nd and 3rd party audits (i.e.: CFIA, GFSI-SQF, Halal certification, customer);
  • Review food safety records to ensure compliance to all program requirements;

  • Manage new product development process (regulatory requirements, specifications, labelling, etc.);
  • Leading the Quality Assurance/Control team, including those at the supervisory and hourly levels, providing direct leadership, training, delegating tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in similar role in the food industry;

QA Manager Opportunity - Aurora

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for one of our clients in the food packaging industry.

POSITION:     Quality Assurance Manager

HOURS:         Day shift, Monday – Friday

STATUS:       Full-time, Permanent

LOCATION:   Aurora, ON

SALARY:       $75,000 - $85,000 per year

 

OVERVIEW:

·         Analyze products and manufacturing processes to eliminate quality issues

·         Determine root cause of production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions

·         Control internal auditing process of production line

·         Determine focus and scope of quality inspections according to client requirements

·         Train and oversee the team of quality inspectors in quality concepts, tools, and methods

·         Comply with existing company and quality management systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Post-secondary education in an engineering-related field

·         3+ years of experience of managing quality assurance initiatives

·         Knowledge of GFSI, BRC, SQF Level 3, ISO, FSSC an asset

·         Experience in food packaging industry an asset
